Have you ever read a book that you kind of understood, but that you also kind of didn't understand? Me too. That is what a call a "Not-so-swell Fit" book.
What about a book that you TOTALLY and COMPLETELY understood? I call that a "Just Right Fit"(or YIGI book: Yes I Get IT!). I like those kind of books
Please show with words (give us visuals: details and examples) how you know if you are REALLY and TRULY understanding a book? What does it feel like, look like in your mind when you are really getting the author's message, who the characters are, and the book's deeper meaning.
If you share your stories, I'll share mine. :)
1.) Give an example, with DETAILS of a YIGI book. Prove it.
2.) Give an example, with DETAILS of a non-YIGI book. Prove it.
3.) Make sure you ELABORATE and PROVE it.

O.K. Because I learned how to read at age 4, I thought I was a pretty "Hot Stuff Reader" growing up. I'll admit it...embarrassing at it it!
So, one day I was in 1st grade and I was reading a 4th grade book, by Laura Ingalls Wilder called, On the Banks of Plum Creek.
I actually THOUGHT it was a YIGI book because when I was reading it I was making a movie. I could say all of the words, but I didn't ALWAYS know what they meant. I could picture the characters, I could picture the banks of Plum Creek and Laura's house and family. But sometimes, I have to admit, my movie was a little fuzzy and I always couldn't relate to some of the things Laura was feeling or going through. I didn't get why she would say or act or do some of the things she did. BUT, I THOUGHT I got it! Weird, huh!
Well, it wasn't until I was in 4th grade that I read On the Banks of Plum Creek again and all of a sudden I really, REALLY GOT IT!
As a 4th grader, all of a sudden I was close to Laura's age and NOW I got why she acted the way she did and said the things she said. Also, when I read the book as a 4th grader, it felt like I was a character INSIDE of the book. When I read On the Banks of Plum Creek as a 1st grader, I was really just a passenger in a car driving by and watching the scenery and the characters.
I have read and still try to read a lot of non-YIGI books. For instance, if I can't make a movie in my head (the WHOLE time), or I don't know a lot about the topic I am reading, or if I can't connect it to my life or the world, or if I don't know a lot of the words and I can't figure them out by using context (reading around the words and using clues from the text), then I get frustrated, I can't stay focused and I abandon the book because it is not a good fit for me.
A yigi book I have read is The Cronicles of Narnia book 2 The Magicians Nephew.I understood it because the words weren't that hard and it really described the characters and it didn't jump to a different topic because it first talked about Digory and Polly and how they got these magic rings that
took them to a different world and it said about how they dicovered Narnia and how they met Aslan. All the pieces fit together. I could understand the characters. Like, that Diggory was shy and was afraid of Aslan because he had magic powers.
A book that I didn't understand was The Cronicles of Narnia the last battle why I didn't understand it is because it jumped from topic to topic for example it was first talking about a old gorilla and a donkey and then out of nowhere it talks about Aslan and his last battle against the white witch.
I had pictures for part of it and then my pictures got confusing and I couldn't put them together.
one book i think is a YIGI book is the book i got at reading night. the level is #35. It talks about the frozen continent of Antarctica and how the creatures that live there survive. The reason i think it is a YIGI book is the fantastic real life pictures and the illustrations. It is also very easy to comprehend. the reason it is so easy to comprehend is how easy it is to make a movie in my mind. But the only reason it is easy for me to comprehend is that I have a fantastic reading level of 12th grade reading level so i would recommend this book for people in high school. when i read this book i think of how it would be to be all of those animals trying as hard as they can to survive in the harsh winters of Antarctica. That is the reason i think this book is a YIGI book!!!
One book I think is not a YIGI book is the Journal Of Douglas Allen Deeds. Some of the questions are never answered and it is so hard to make a movie in my mind. the only thing i think is good about this book is is the few parts of the illustrations that actually make sense. The movie in my mind is a dark black hole in my mind. My mind hurts when i try. So i would not recommend this book whatsoever.
I'm reading Harry Potter and the half blood prince and I almost finished. It can be confusing at some parts but I get the rest of the book.J.K Rowling has a lot of details.I get it by not reading to fast and I look back when I don't get a part.I'm thinking that something will happen to Harry Potter
or his friends.I think if someone loves to read Harry Potter they should read it.I'm not sure if it is a YIGI book or not.
A non YIGI book is what you get or not get.
Yes
I
Get
It
A non-YIGI book can be any chapter book like the horse and his boy at the beginning I got confused and stopped reading because I couldn't picture it.
Strange Miss Slade
this is a YIGI BOOK BECAUSE I am used
to reading mystery books so I sort of
get an idea of what the book is going to be like and because the words are not really long. Just from looking at the cover in my head I am wondering is she poor because she is wearing all these raged clothing and in the woods with a flash light. when it showed an eye patch on her eye it made me wonder what happened to her eye later on in the story it said it was because when she was younger she was playing with fire works after that she didn't say any thing In my head I felt bad for her but as it got better I started to fell better.
My non YIGI BOOK WAS CALLED THE REPORT CARD
a yigi book I read was geting air.
it is kinda like hatchet but has skateboarding. It is a yigi book
because I am in to skateboarding
and I understand what they are
talking about. Also it got
better and better every paragraph
so I could never put it down.
A non yigi book is Rascal
I had no clue what they are
talking about. It took to long
for Rascal to come in the book, so I got bored. And there was
no action.
I get the book The Chocolate Touch. Because the book is about chocolate and I really like chocolate and I really got zoomed in on the book. For example everything John touches is chocolate. like when John touched the toothpaste and when he squeezed the toothpaste it was chocolate. And I read this book about 4 or 5 months ago. Then when John touched the glove that turned to chocolate to. Then finally John said at the end of the book I HATE CHOCOLATE. And plus I zoomed in on the characters and on what there actions were on this book. That's how I know that this book is a YIGI book for me.
A non-YIGI book for me was The Indian in the Cupboard. Because when I first read the book I couldn't make a movie in my mind. For example when the kid dropped all of the keys including the keys to the cupboard. And when I read that part There was no movie in my mind what so ever. And when everytime a character talked I thought another character was talking.
The book that i can get is GEORGE WASHINGTON Caver. The book is telling me that all those things he did as a kid growing up.I can see in my head that what ever he can do others can to.They give a lot of words that you never heard of before you read it. It helps you know more about him that you did not know before.Just pretend that you did that stuff when you were a kid.The words that you come on try to see in your head what the word might be like an happy, sad, mad, and others.
A book that is not a YIGI book is like if it is your level it might have some easy words and they need major details. i can't make a movie in my head.
Great job, everyone!
Now, read what your peers wrote about YIGI and non-YIGI books and write comments to them.
:)
Thanks Ms. Parent
unie B Jones Aloha
Well first of all i think this book is a YIGI book because I understand this book very well. Also this author
describe word's very good like the word treacherous she uses synonyms to
describes a different word. For example in this book when Junie B went to Hawaii for her trip she had went swimming in the sea with her mom and dad and her parents warned
her to stay close to them, but then
she kept swimming to the shore all by herself then she saw a jellyfish and started to swim faster to the shore because she was panicing about it. If she didn't panic the jellyfish would have gone away but she kept panicing and the jellyfish had gotten closer and closer. Then her mom and dad had swim to the shore to see what was going on. Suddenly her father came and said what do you think you are doing she was talking real fast her dad cound't understand a word she was saying. Then came along Junie mom her mom swim to the shore in a grumpy face her mom said,"do you any idea how treacherous that is?" She had Said nothing but staring at her parents.
A book that is a yigi book to me is The Book Car Children #1 I can understand because I can see them. I can feel it starting to rain I can see Henry tip toeing to the fountain to get water.
A non yigi book to me would be Outlaw Sprint Car Racer there are some hard words that I can't understand but I can see some of it like in one of the races I can seethe two cars side to side then he pulls ahead and wins. like I don't quite get what happened to the car for example when a tie rod broke I don't get how he fixed it. So some of it I get and some I don't.
Sion I've read that book to it was a very good book. But I think you could have done more details to the first comment.
Good Luck :)
Sion I think that was an incredible description about the chronicles of Narnia the Magicians Nephew. I own and have read that book too and i think the exact same thing about that book.
Sion,
Great examples. I liked that you talked about how the author C.S. Lewis used descriptions. It sounds like you were really making a movie in your head!
I wonder if you didn't get The Last Battle because you didn't read any of the books in between The Magician's Nephew and The Last Battle.
It was probably confusing to encounter characters that you had never met before, or for the narrator to refer to events that you hadn't read about because you didn't read the other books.
Sounds like you know yourself as a reader! Good job!
Thanks for saying thanks, Tren!
:)
Dear Hayden,
How good was that yigi book? How did you know that you REALLY understood the book and what it was talking about.
What other non-yigi books have you tried to read?
Dear Sion
Chronicles of Narnia book 2 the Magicians Nephew souds like a really
good.If you were the magicians nephew would you be just like him.
tren i love what you said about Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince. I think your right about how if someone wants to read a Harry Potter book they should. I have read Harry Potter books since i was 7. I will be sure to take your fantastic advice!
Dear Elijah,
I like the way you describe how you think this is a YIGI book because you said that you are so used to reading mystery books well I am sort of a fan of reading mystery book too. I also agree with you when you said you were looking at the front cover of the book you are reading like when you think that she is poor because of the clothes she is wearing, and in the wood with a flash light and also has a eye patch.
Dear Sabrina
your book sounds cool
if you were unie B
would you do the same
thing did
dear Jack,
how many yigi books have you read so far?How do you know if that is a yigi book for you?I read the box cart children before they are good books the one I like is number 2.
Dear Elijah,
I get the story and what your trying to say that the strange lady lived in the forest with ranged clothes but can you tell us a little more
about it?
For example like why did she live in the forest with ragged clothes and why was she carrying a flashlight?
Is she really strange?
Sabrina I think that you did a fantastic job of describing the story about the jellyfish problem. I think i should seriously read that book to see if it is really as good as you described it. Maybe your twice as good as the author of the book is!!!!
Hayden,
When I read your comment I thought it was great about your yigi book. But when I got to the non-yigi part and I read it at the end and you said it took too long for rascal to get into the book. And, there was no action. Wasn't there some action in the beginning of the book. That's the part I didn't get.
Was it hard for you to picture it in your head? Is that what you mean? Or was the vocabulary too hard in places?
Bobby
Sabrina, I can tell that Junie B Jones is a yigi book for you because I can see her swimming then all of a sudden she see's a jellyfish and starts panicking trying to swim away from it.
I agree with you, Trener. I tried to read Harry Potter and the Half Blood
Prince but I did not understand it either.
Because there were TOO MANY BIG WORDS. I also couldn't make a movie when I was reading it--only sometimes.
Dear Hayden I am the same way if there isn't any action in the story i usely don't read it.
Dear Bailey,
you must like to read than if you you read a 35 leveled yigi book. do like to read in class when you can. you are a good reader and a good friend.
Interesting entry, Bailey!
It sounds like your ability to comprehend (or understand) has less to do with what you think your reading level is, and more to do with your ability to make a movie in your head and draw on your BK. I know that you have a lot of BK about animals that live in all different climates. It also sounds like, from your comment, "I think of how it would be to be all of those animals trying as hard as they can to survive in the harsh winters of Antarctica." that you have some BK about Antarctica too, or that maybe it was new knowledge you learned from reading this book.
What did you do to help you understand when you came across a new word or a new animal? How did you figure out what the author was talking about?
As for your non-YIGI book, The Journal Of Douglas Allen Deeds, I wonder if it wasn't YIGI because either you didn't have the BK or maybe the guy wasn't that interesting to you. Also, maybe even the language used or the vocab was too hard.
Why do YOU think the book was non-YIGI and that your movie was like a black hole? :)
Gabe the way you described that book makes me want to go all over the world just to find It. I bet you are much better than even the author about describ that story!!![GO GABE!]
Dear Ms.P
thanks for writing
that cool comment
See yeah.
Dear Ms. Parent,
I love the book you read because you described it very well and your words to describe what you are reading makes me want to read it the moment I read your comment.
Ms. Parent,
You gave a ton of details and it was a great story about you and the Laura Ingalls Wilder. It was right on topic. It was amazing how you could read at a fourth grade level when you were in first grade. If I was your teacher when you were in first grade I would be amazed. Was it a good book did it have a lot of details? Keep reading.
;)
Tren, I did the same thing with The Horse and His Boy. I started reading it then it got confusing then I stopped reading it. I read the first and second book in the series, but for some reason this book got kinda confusing. It wasn't that interesting to me so I abandoned it.
Dear Tren
when you said some parts
are confusing
what parts were confusing.
Thank U Hayden I appreciate it.
From
Tren
Jack I have read that book too and i absolutely love it. I totally love that book!!!!! I think I think you should write your own fantastic book!!!{ And the winner is......JACK!
Dear Elijah,
I see you like mystery books. Have you read Box Car Children?
Jack I did the same thing with The Horse and His Boy. It got confusing too.
Tren
Dear Gabe,
I enjoy skateboarding A LOT! And so when they where talking about tricks
I understood.
Tren,
When I read your comment I thought your YIGI book was such a good book too. I should read that book too. Good job.
Bobby
Sion,
When I read your comment I was surprised how you could retell the Magicians Nephew and how you put in all of those details in.
P.S. How long ago was it that you read that book.
Bobby
Elijah
When I read your comment and you said that you were into mystery books I thought is Elijah into Nate the Great mystery books or is Elijah into old fashion mystery books like scooby doo or something. Plus when I read your comment I would feel sorry to for mysterious miss slade. Good comeback About how mysterious miss slade how she had an eye patch on and telling how she got that eye patch on her eye. And on your non yigi book the report card I can so totally relate on how that book was very hard. Your not the only one that the report card is a hard book. It was such a hard book for me to. NOT THAT FUN if you don't get the book it's like there's no sense of reading that book if you don't get it. Whether you can't understand the words or if you can't make a movie in your mind or other stuff that makes a book hard and you don't get it.
Bobby
Gabe,
I agree with you to you. Can do anything as long you follow your dream's. Maybe someday you could be the president of the united states. And that book sounds like a very well educated book of yours with all of those big words. What were some of those big, humongus words. Were they words like Jimmy Neutron says like college words that you've never even heard of before.
Bobby
Sabrina,
When you described the Junie B. Jones book I thought you did a marvelous job retelling the story. But when you said that wonce Junie B. went into the water didn't you get off a little off track when suddenly a jellyfish swarmed right up into Junie B.'s face it just jumped to another place in time. I hate it when books do that.
Bobby
Elijah,
Just how Sabrina said when she wrote back you like to read mystery books. I betcha you could read e'm with a see through blind fold on.
Bobby
Jack
I can imagine that to. I see a huge fountain a fountain like the fountain of youth. With water spewing out at the top like a day thet rain is pouring down.
Bobby
Ms.Parent
HOLY COW, you learned how to start reading at age 4. I didn't start reading until like when I was in like 1 first grade or 2 second grade. That is jaw dropping. Unbelieveable.
Bobby
Bailey,
I don't know any 12th graders but if I did I don't ever think of ever reading that book. Good job.
Bobby
Sion,
I would feel the same way to. If you can't put the picture's together in your mind I feel like it's a messed up puzzle in my head.
Bobby
Tren,
If the story would get a little confusing wouldn't be maybe a non yigi book.
Bobby
Sabrina,
If I was Junie B. I would've learned my lesson.
Bobby
Ms Parent.
I would've felt the same way if I was reading a 4fourth grade book when I was in 1st grade. But then like you said when you got to 4fourth grade your picture was clear not fuzzy like you said.
Bobby
Ms Parent,
When you wrote your comment I
wondered what character were you.
Bobby
Sion,
You know how U said how the number 2 book was a yigi book for you. I was wondering was the other Cronicles of Narnia books a yigi book for you? Or was it a non-yigi book.
Bobby
Tren,
Just how I asked Sion. Are they all yigi books?[Harrry potter] Or are some of them non-yigi books.
Bobby
Jack,
Are all of the Boxer Car Children yigi's for you. Or are some of the Boxer Car Children non-yigi's for you.
Bobby
Sabrina,
Are all of Junie B. Jones books yigi's for you. Or are some of the Junie B. Jones book be non-yigi's for you.
Bobby
Sion,
Did Aslan have his [last battle] With the old gorilla and the donkey.
Bobby
Thank You Bobby
Dear.
Bobby i am glad you you can understand what i talking about the story. what kind of books do like?
Dear Bobby
with a see threw
blind I could read a book
and have lunch
Bobby,
I read The Cronicles of Narnia book 2 little bit ago.
Gabe,
I don't know how many yigi books I have read but I have read. A lot. How many have you read?
some of my favorite yigi books are the Jack Sparrow series I just couldn't stop reading it.
Yes Bobby,
All of the Junie B. Jones books are all a YIGI to me.
dear,
Bailey how are you doing today i am reading the year of the dog i am getting in to it but i think that it will be a good book.
Do you like history Gabe? It's pretty cool learning about history.
ms. parent
I learned to read when i was 5 and i thought the same thing when I read Natures most fast animals. I thought i got it but didn`t. But I read it again in 4th grade and i totally got it!
Dear Bobby
with a see-through
blindfold I could read a book and
have lunch.
Bobby
You were right. The vocab was hard in Rascal and there was no action in the beginning.
Elijah,
I am glad you are enjoying The Strange Miss Slade. I like Dick King-Smith as an author. How far are you in the book? Are you making a movie? What is Miss Slade like? Are there any other interesting characters?
The Report Card IS a hard book! Even though it is SUPPOSEDLY written at a high 4th grade reading level, I think it is really a 7th grade book. First of all, the kids are very mature and the set up of the book takes a while to understand. I love Andrew Clements, but this is not my favorite book of his.
Have you read Frindle or The School Story or The Janitor's Boy? These are all by him.
Here is a hot link (just click on it) to his website. :)
http://www.andrewclements.com/
Hayden,
How cool you discovered Dan Gutman (author of Getting Air).
I agree the basic premise of the book and Hatchet are the same, but it seems like Getting Air had another weird twist with the terrorist piece and the old ladies.
Did any of it get tricky?
I haven't read Rascal for a long time, I'll have to pick it up again.
Bobby,
I really like how descriptive you were when you explained what your YIGI book was and WHY it was truly a YIGI and what your non-YIGI book was and WHY you felt that way.
You had great evidence and details to support your answer.
The Chocolate Touch, even though it is very visual, is a challenging book. It has a lot of higher level vocab and can throw kids--especially at the beginning.
I like that you said (re: The Indian in the Cupboard) that when you didn't know what character was talking when, that you got that you didn't get it! Bravo!
It is always interesting when kids are reading a book that they think is a YIGI and I ask them who the narrator is and they don't know...I'm glad you get it!
Ms Parent,
Thanks for writing that comment.
Bobby
Elijah,
LOL. Laugh out loud.
Bobby
P.S. I don't know if you know this but you wrote your comment 2 times. Or you published it. Oh yeah Lunch blindfold. I believe it when it comes to mystery books. Or any other book.
Gabe,
I like the books;Eragon,Comic books,R.L. Stine's books,The chocolate touch,The Cronicles of Narnia,Jack Sparrow[Pirates of the Caribbean],A dog's life,Runaway Ralph,And other books I can't think of right now. Just ask Joby if you see him.
Hayden,
Was the vocab like college kids would use. Or would it be vocab like we use as kids.
Bobby
Tren,
Your welcome.
Bobby
Sabrina,
WOW you get every single book of Junie B. Jones. I don't think I've read one Junie B. Jones book.
Bobby
Bobby,
I like how you said the fountan of youth I never thought of that. have you ever read the first box car chirldren?
Jack,
No I haven't read ANY box car children Books.
Bobby
dear,
Sabrina you are a good reader. How are the books you are reading? In your time you have to read.
Dear Bobby
I thought your favorite
food was pizza
Dear Trenner th thing Im asking myself is why is it confuseing. Oh yeah Hi!
dear,
Jack how are you doing? is your reading getting better in your level
Sion,
I can see what you are saying I can see Diggory being scared of Aslan because of his powers. I can tell that's a yigi book for you
Elijah very good and you could have made it longer in your first comment about mystery. lots of details keep going.
Tren
Dear Bobby no aslan doesnt fight against the gorilla or the donkey
Dear Bailey i like how you help me with my reading and support me.
Dear Gabe,
The words you are describing is making me know more about George Washington Caver. I like the way how you describe the words about George Washington Caver now I know more things about George Washington Caver thanks to you Gabe!
Dear Sion Y did U say that to me?
Write back Tren.
Hi trenner
Elijah,
to me what you said sounds kinda like a robber with the old ratty close and the eye patch.
Ms. Parent u r a good writer.
Tren,
I like that you mentioned the Half-Blood Prince. That is a great book, but like all of the other Harry Potter books, it can be confusing at times.
Have you read the others in the series? If so, do they help you to visualize and understand what you are reading?
What parts of it were confusing? What did you do to get "unconfused"?
I think it is great that you got that The Horse and His Boy was a non-YIGI book for you. It sounds like you didn't have a movie going on.
Thanks for your feedback on what I wrote about the Laura Ingalls Wilder book. My teachers were surprised at my reading level, but they also had to help me A LOT with math. I was probably the lowest kid in my whole class when it came to getting math. All of math was non-YIGI to me!! I didn't start to really get math and how it worked until I was in college!!!
All of the Little House books have lots and lots of interesting details. The sounds, the smells, the settings, the wide variety of characters and the funny, serious, and sad things they say and do. My favorite books in the whole series are: On the Banks of Plum Creek and Farmer Boy.
Have you ever read any of her books? I think you would like them a lot.
Gabe,
I LOVE GEORGE WASHINGTON CARVER!!!! He is my FAVORITE inventor! He is also on my "Top 10 List of People Who Have Died that I Would Like to Have Tea and Cookies With".
He is number 5 or so. He was an amazing guy! I cannot believe all of the things he made from soybeans and peanuts! He was such a genius! It is hard to believe that he found a way to use peanut butter to make: hair shampoo, Baby Massage Cream, face powder, shaving cream, clothing dyes, medicines, gasoline, laundry soap, runner, plastics, and glue!!!
Here is one of my favorite quotes by him: "Look about you. Take hold of the things that are here. Let them talk to you. You learn to talk to them." GWC
I like that when you talk about the George Washington Carver book, you sound like you were pretending to be him! That is the best sign of a YIGI book! Being inside of the book as one of its characters.
I like that you get that a non-YIGI book is one where you can't make a movie in your head when you are reading.
If you like nonfiction books, you might like a couple of books I have on Louis Braille. He was a cool dude too! He invented braille (how blind people read).
Good job.
Sabrina,
I like how you gave a very visual description of what you saw in your JBJ book. I like Junie too. She is funny and is quite a character. This is a YIGI book for me too.
I also, like you, like that the author, Barbara Parks puts in some good vocabulary in these books too.
What are you reading for fun?
What was a non-YIGI book for you?
Jack,
I really liked your descriptions of what you saw and felt as you read the BCC. I like those books too. I like books #1 and #3 and some of the higher numbers in the series a lot. They are YIGIs for me too. Isn't it great when you can "get inside" of a book. It's like traveling without ever leaving home or school.
I have never heard of Outlaw Sprint Car Racer. I really liked how you explained why it wasn't a YIGI for you: spotty movie in parts and too many new vocabulary words.
Sometimes, I think kids will read and book and THINK its a YIGI for them because they can visualize SOME of it, but not all of it. Hopefully more kids will start to get that if you can't make a movie for the while entire book,it isn't really a YIGI book.
Bobby,
I really like how many insightful and positive comments and questions you wrote for the group. You have a nice way of expressing yourself with voice and interesting language.
When I read the Little House books I was usually Laura, but sometimes Mary.
I also agree with you in that if you believe in yourself and follow your dreams you CAN be and do anything. It just takes focus, commitment, and your heart being into it.
Dear Everyone,
You guys are ALL becoming expert bloggers! I really like how you are taking the time to write thoughtful comments to each other and ask each other questions.
You are ALL a joy to work with!!!
Sion,
O.k. then. It is a non-yigi book like you said. And it would probally be a non-yigi book for me to if the book would do that to me. I would probally abondon the book then. Did you? I would just like to say one more thing. Are you still reading that book. Because if you are then you might want to put in some consideration of abondoning into your thoughts. I had the big book with all of the stories in it and when I got to the story the last battle it got very confusing for me to and I did notice that stuff. Jumping from one topic to the next. I just absoultely hated that. So I abandon the book and tried it the next year and I got to deal with what happened in the book jumping from one topic to the other.
Bobby
Elijah,
If you're trying to get inside my head. It's working. My favorite food is PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPIIIIIIIIIIIIZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA PIZZA. I knew you thought chocolate but I do like chocolate to. But even you love pizza And chocolate. But still your still getting inside my head. And it's knawing away at me. Oh yeah LOL.:)
Elijah,
Like you said I kinda get an idea of what is going to happen. You could maybe read the book closed if you could.
Bobby
Mrs.P,
I love cars I guess I get it from my dad because hes a mechanic. So he has all these books on cars and he had the book Out Law Sprint Car Racer it's for adults thats why its hard.
Ms. Parent,
what is the BCC?
dear
Mrs.Parent i thank you for the letter.George Washington Caver can do a lot of things can't he.I wish i get to meet him to but i will have a cookie and milk i can't drink tee.
Ms Parent,
Thank you very much for that comment. And it was no surprise that you would want to be a girl on the book.:)
Bobby
Bailey
WOW you have high reading level.
Dear Baily
I got the same book at reading night.I read the hole book.
Didn't you like the green lights.
Gabe,
What is up with the milk and tea thing
EVERYONE!!!!!,

Yes i did see the green lights! Don`t you love `em?
EVERYONE!
Did any other of you read the book at reading night?
Thank you Mrs.parent I also think that Barbra Park is a good author because she does use descriptive words! She describes lots of stuff like when stuff comes next and she makes me want to read more.
Bailey,
No I didn't read the book that you got at reading night. I might have to though. I mean that sounds interesting with the green lights. Did like aliens swoop down from outer space with their space craft and like land in a corn field and green lights were on the space craft. And when the aliens opened up their space craft I betcha there was smoke coming out of it.
